The air show this year is going to be awesome. The Hornets were practicing today and the turnaround is right over my house.

Last year was the first one I’ve experienced since junior high. Highly recommended. Especially in the Chicago area, they can get the big planes there.

I miss the Glenview Naval Airbase. You could see a great show, without having to fight Chicago crowds. The house I grew up in was directly under the path to and from the runway. I once saw the Blue Angels fly by practicing in banked formation. It was incredible.

Eastern Iowa represent. You should make the trip up to Oshkosh sometime if you never have. This year they’ll have a B-1, B-52, and B-2 flying at the same time with the worlds’s only two flying B-29s, as well as tons of other stuff.
