Nice reflexes, but damn, no horn? I woulda layed on that fucker immediately and held it until I was well past them.

It helps to drive it home to them and everyone around them that they’re idiots.

Yeah, that’s my biggest regret here. They certainly earned it. I guess I was just too intensely focused on steering and braking. I actually did remember the horn at exactly 0:14 in the video, but by then it was too late. So instead, you can hear me revving the engine a little before putting it back into gear, in an attempt to voice my frustration and blow off some steam.

I’m definitely not trying to take away from your crash avoidance, as you did a perfect job of juking around that guy.

It’s just so aggravating to see another clueless driver pull out in front of someone, as it happens to me so often it seems, and using my horn to alert the idiots of their idiocy has just become an instinctive reflex for me anymore.

Of course it’s easy for me to say “Where’s the horn?” when I’m just watching a video as opposed to actually experiencing it first-hand like you were. Just armchair quarterbacking here lol.

Again, you reacted perfectly in that video.

Thanks, I’m really proud of that maneuver. I encounter bad drivers all the time, but I don’t get thrust into the middle of a freakin’ moose test very often. It was a close one!

Totally with you on the horn thing. Horn hesitation is a weakness of mine that I’ve been working on in recent years, and I’ve gotten better at it, but this was a real drop-everything-and-steer moment for me. It would have been nice, not just to blare it at that driver, but for all the other drivers to take notice, too. Alas, I can only hope that I left that driver with a juicy  code brown .
