We’re getting Tuesday off, not Monday. But seeing as how my job is to provide coverage of newsworthy events, including community celebrations of national holidays, that means I gotta work Tuesday. So I’m taking Monday off instead. 2.5 day weekend (since half the 4th of July events are scheduled for tomorrow, so I’ve gotta work Saturday, too).

That is a fucking phenomenal view. Next time you’re in civilization again, you should get that photo printed up super huge so you can hang it up in your home. Mantelpiece image right there.

Not sure how well it would get big. That’s just my phone. But thanks! I feel like that’s a huge compliment coming from a professional photographer.
Also, this huge fucking metropolis is way more civilization than I need. There’s gotta be a permanent population of 5,000, plus a bajillion tourists. I can barely stand it. Too many people. Waaaay too many people.

Depends on your phone and the camera it has. You’d be surprised how much you can enlarge a phone photo sometimes. I printed an iPhone photo at about 1m square.
And yeah, I feel ya on tourist towns. A town of 5000 is still way too small for me, but when you add tourists into the mix? Not fun. Hope you find some time to rest once they all go home.
