Something bothers me visually when you could fit a fist between the rotor OD and the wheel ID. I know this doesn’t need gigantic rotors, but it just looks off to me when you have such big wheels.

Yes you can. This car was ordered specifically with the accessory wheels installed at the port. You have many options when building them.

All accessories (they say) are designed and build to be compatible without effecting the dynamics of the car. Though, one customer installed his own 22 inch (non-chrome, looked pretty good) aftermarket wheels and the tires wore nasty. Within 10K, the tires were hella choppy completely across the thread like if the shocks were blown. Granted, those were 295 over these 275. Dat scrub radius :(

I can’t imagine wheels of this size with low profile tires will feel identical to a more reasonable setup. But it shouldn’t void a warranty anyway.
I wonder if iffy wheel quality helped with that. I suspect these are the type of wheels that are guaranteed to have curb rash within a couple months, too. And then the tire wear - even on my old W210 E55, the 18" PS2s would be racing slicks at rear by about 20K miles.

on that w210 I bet. Heck 20k is still ok. The Z4 absolutely eats tires (per design). Lucky to get to 15k. I remember at Lexus the IS cars would have a sticker on the windshield that only the customer can remove notifying them that 15k was the estimated tire life. handles badass doe. Always digged the IS. It was a 3 series without the 3 series-ness lol

The fun of a “sports” car. As I get older and traffic gets worse, I get over it. I have no urge to get a low profile car again.
IS350 should be nice, but an IS250 I test drove was tepid at best - a BMW without the old BMW feel (to be fair, that also describes many new BMWs).
