I still think the 360 had one of the most comfortable controllers ever made. The only problem I see with it is the shit D-pad. Otherwise it’s perfect.

The 360 controller is the best controller ever made.

I seriously agree on the 360 controller, why they changed it I will NEVER understand

I found the One to be more comfortable but the 360 changed how I ever thought a controller should be like.

Back in the day was a hard core Sony kid, I had a Play Sation, I had a PS1, I had a PS2. When my buddy showed me his new Xbox I said it was stupid, and would never be better than a PlayStaion.

But when I saw the controls I was like “what is this a dinner plate” they’re huge, I can’t image being a kid and trying to use them.

Sony‘s controllers were’ and still are slim, simple, and great. .i think the Xbox One’s controller is a prefect happy medium.

The Playstation controllers are a mess of buttons and are a horrible shape and layout for people with big hands.

Yeah, this is especially true with the PS4 controllers. I don’t like how they feel like they’re constantly about to slip out of your hands since you’re basically holding it with only your fingers.

Since I use the sides of my index fingers to hit the bumpers, I like what they did with them on the One controller. That being said, there’s something about the 360 controller that the One just can’t match, and I don’t know what it is.

As a kid, Xbox controllers were WAY too bulky for me. PlayStation controller’s were just right.

Tbh the 360 one is so good when the bumpers are upshift/downshift and the right trigger is throttle. And it’s smooth if you run b as clutch and a as handbrake

360 for sure has the best controller, though I should specify the wired controller. The XB1 is good, though I prefer the architecture of the 360's more. The Xbox S controller was fine as well, and transitioning to the 360's controller from it was fine. I never had the honor of using a Duke controller.

Can I rant about the loss of the start and select button on controllers?

Yes please. I still can’t tell which is which.

Exactly! What was so bad about labeling them as start and select? Sony did the same thing and changed them to options and share. WTF?!

Probably for the best that Microsoft was influenced by the Dreamcast controller for these instead of their own Sidewinder Dual-Strike:

Kinja'd!!!

Okay, not really.

As for Nintendo controllers, I think the best they made was the NES Max

Hands down the Xbox One controller is the best for me because of the vibrating triggers. It makes driving sims without TC and ABS so much easier, that I really think high performance car pedals should vibrate when spinning wheels/locking brakes, it makes it so much easier to feel the car. I want to try the elite controller with the paddles on the back but it’s too expensive.

The rest are great too, never had problems with them but I don’t think I’ve ever tried that THICC bad boy on the right, but I want one lol.

Presumably the cord comes out there because the wanted the top clean for the VMUs:

Kinja'd!!!

Kinja'd!!!

As you can see, there is a channel down there to run the cord out in the proper direction, which makes it seem like it could have worked though.

I loved the Dreamcast. Probably my favorite system of all time.

06/30/2017 at 09:42, STARS: 1

Yup, you’re correct. The channel for the cord worked fairly well at keeping the cord where you wanted it to be, too.

You’re taking me back talking about the VMUs. They sounded like such a great idea. But I don’t think Sega’s vision ever really came to realization.

Yeah, it was really nice for things like football games, since you could select your play on the small screen and not have your opponent see it. There were a bunch of other neat things it was theoretically capable of, but I’m not sure anyone took full advantage.
