Kinja'd!!!

I did a little test drive, only in neighborhood streets. I know the LT5 is known to be soft at low rpm, but does having the power key on or off have an effect on city street driving? Or would you only notice it when romping on the throttle? I think I saw 3k rpm.

Maybe it’s just me not being accustomed to 4.11 gears on a “small” car, and it’s actually faster than I think.

Just asked my friend that has one, here is his response.

“It is very noticeable….I can actually feel when the secondary intake runners engage….Much faster. Car seems flat in “normal” mode.”

So, run the power key at all times is how I took that.

Sounds to me like you need to get a short spin in, so you can share impressions firsthand. I’m not sure if the secondaries do anything at real low speeds, but I can agree that it felt a little bit “flat” without opening it up, and with the key in normal.

I think the consensus will be “full power, full time.”

I do need a spin in it, I’ll agree to that. As well as, full power all the time.
