Grades as of last night:

1st test: 64

2nd test:90

Average: 78

Took the final today, which was really just a 3rd test and counted the same as the other ones. Had no idea about what was on the test going into it.

Somehow I pulled off a 92. Grade goes up to a 82. That’s a B, saving me from what would have been my first C in college.

Check final grades tonight. He put me down as an A-. I’m pretty excited about it. The class was Microeconomics, one of the classes I have to take for my mandatory Marketing minor and it confused me a good bit.

Man I love macro/micro. Took AP Econ in high school so I took the AP test for both, tested out of both. Woohoo

I got bored of it pretty quick, but like other subjects I can appreciate it. I feel like I’m a better all around person for being exposed to it.

Most of my classes haven’t had tests/ lectures for 2 years now, so it was a bit weird sitting down for a class. I had also completely forgotten about studying, which explains the first test.

Why they make Design Majors minor in Marketing I’ll never know (well I know it’s useful information for designing for industry, but it’s so boring compared to making models or sketching).

For me, the teacher made it great. The way he taught just really caught my interest and he made it seem like Econ was the most interesting thing.

That’s cool that they have design majors minor in marketing, never would’ve figured.

This class was a little rushed since it was a 1 month summer course. Great teacher. Certainly did the best with what he had.

The reasoning behind the minor is that designers frequently run into problems trying to communicate with business folk. The minor helps to bridge that gap, and if nothing else just makes me more hirable. Thinking about getting another Minor in Appalachian Studies, but everyone keeps telling me that it would be a waste.

Nice! The prof must’ve thrown a curve on the grades.

Appalachian studies would be pretty cool! Is there a certain reason you’d want to do that? I have a friend who currently goes to Clemson on a soccer scholarship, he’s studying Forestry and loves it.

It’s an interesting place with interesting people. I’m 2 classes away from it, I took most of them as part of my Gen ed.

I’d like to do further understand the region and do what I can to help. They’ve really been trampled by outsiders since white settlers drove the Native Americans out. An entire region that can’t seem to get a break.

While it’s not all bad, as the poverty porn the media sells would have you think its defiantly the kind of place that could use some help.

If you are already pretty close to finishing it up you should definitely just go for it.
