No other plane should be allowed to have a shark mouth.

My grandfather was a Flying Tiger. He had amazing stories about the war. My brothers both have replica planes he widdled from parts of the aircraft after a crash landing. The cockpit was made from glass from the plane, the props were made from ration cans. He got original paint when he got back to base and painted them with the actual paints used on the planes. Miss that man every day.

Normally I would agree, but I give the A-10 a pass.

Wow! Was he part of the original AVG or did he join after Dec 7? Either way, those folks were way out on a limb flying where they were flying.

I’d like to see it continue. The sad fact is there are fewer and fewer P-40s in the air today.

I am not entirely sure, I believe one of the originals as he was coming home from war as many of his friends were just getting deployed. He was assigned to Six Bits, General Chennault’s aircraft. He was pretty much always with Chennault, including dinners with Chaing Kai-Shek. He was also a survivor of the sinking of the Rohna.

Yeah, that sounds about as you original as it gets.
