Rat rods, in my opinion, should be soothing like a hot rod. Not just and old work truck.

A few years back I drove this for about a week. It belonged to a friend who buys and sells trucks and jeeps constantly - almost all older fords and very old jeeps like CJ2-3 era. Anyway... it was pretty rad.
It’s what convinced me to buy my ‘61 F100.

It was neat. But it had no weatherstripping or anything, so it was loud and hot, rattle-tastic, and a handful to drive straight. At least it had good tires. The owner also said, “Check the oil. Often.” hahaha

Because hot? It almost didn’t matter, there was an awful lot of heat coming into the cab because there was only sheet metal and holes, but then you could have the windows down and vents open all the time so it wasn’t bad as long as you were moving. A big improvement in my ‘61, though, is the little triangle vent windows that push air right onto you. That helps a lot.
