A 2011 9C3 “detective” car at a dealer in Ohio.
I’m liking the actual console and full upholstery instead of the 9C1 base parts.
They want $12k for it which seems reasonable from what I’ve seen. But I have to consider shipping which could be up to $1000 on top of tax/title/license.
I like it but I’m not feeling froggy about it. (Honesty, if I could sell the bike it would most likely be in transit!)
Time will tell.

I have to ask, wheres the interior boot release? in the AU/NZ commodores it is in the glovebox which is the stupidest idea ever.

I’m betting the button is in the glovebox here too. That’s been a GM thing here since the 1970s.
Full disclosure and all.. The only “test drive” I’ve had in one was in the back seat so far. The uniformed chauffeur was more than willing to kick it in the butt a bit to answer some of my gearhead questions though.

that its rear 1/4 window is missing the chrome trim is no surprise and to get the moulding requires a complete 1/4 glass

How many miles?
And you’ve got to be careful with ‘11s because they don’t have an hour meter, so low milage can mean high idling, which means lifter issues
(My 11 9c1 had a new cam at 21k miles)
I would’ve liked a 9c3 to get carpet instead of rubber floor, but G8 console is an easy swap

yeah 9c3's could still get optioned with the rubber floor, but I havent seen to many of them.
the missing quarter window trim is hard to replace, as it falls off basically all of them. mine was missing one and had the other crappily glued back on when i bought it (I ended up getting a window from a wrecker in australia)

515 miles, 8 hours +/- 15 minutes straight through. (If I did drive back I bet I’d be able to cut 45min off that drive.) There would be airfare, possibly a hotel and other expenses along the way. It adds up quick.

Well, I meant you could take a road trip there, have some snacks packed and playlists made, switch driving responsibilities on the way and THEN do your best Alex Roy impression on the way back, but as someone who’s been from OKC to Tuba City, Arizona for basically 18 hours straight on a church bus , I get that long road trips can suck sometimes. Hell, if you get off Monday though, leave tomorrow!
