No, not mine. One of my good friends is selling his ‘01 GS 430 after two years to get himself a Chevy Volt. I spent yesterday afternoon helping him clean it up a bit for the pictures. I believe his pretty willing to deal, so while the asking price may seem a bit high, I bet you could pick it up for a pretty good price. And we know there’s nothing cheaper to own than a reliable old Lexus...

Selling his GS430 to get a Volt?! Any particular reason why?

Too far for me, but I recommend they alter the ad to include when the timing belt was last replaced.

He wants to build credit history and also recently started getting very eco-conscious.

Oh :/ I suppose one of the holy trinity wouldn’t be too kind on that credit rating

If it was a better physical specimen and had a recent timing belt service, I could see this nabbing his $5k ask. As it sits, maybe $3.5k-4k. But, everybody wants a “deal” so he could make someone feel like they got one. :)

Because a Volt is a better car.

others may say this is too much, but good luck finding a clean GS400/430 for under $5k. Solid NP on this one.
