I’ve done 5 Raids so far, and 3 of them have resulted in catching a new addition to the dex. It took 6 players to take down the Venasaur, and I think 3 of us caught it.
I’m alittle bummed that the Pokémon I’ve caught haven’t been that strong tho. And I still reeeally want PvP battles. Also I’m geussing he Raid battle system is how they’re going to put out Legendary Pokémon like the birds, mew and Mewtwo. Also the Raid system is doing what it’s intended to do, create more of co-op player community. The day I caught the Venasaur I bumped into some other players, and they said they were going to hit that Raid when it came up, so I met them there. Also someone created a Local Pokémon Go Facebook group so you can let other players know when your going to try a high level Raid, or just that there is a rare wild Pokémon somewhere in town. I do think a message board like that should be integrated into the game tho.

I can’t believe I’m almost 40 and level 32 on Pokemon. I almost beat a tier three raid solo but timed out with 1/6 remaining.

I tried a new gym once. It was the same team and all I could do was give candies to one.
I thought you could still train?
Oh well.

I’ve only taken level 1 & 2 raids. Haven’t been able to catch 3 & 4 in time to see if people come. When I got to one yesterday I saw 2 people driving away from a level 3 that had recently started.
The mon you catch are like hatched mon in IVs and level.
Ps. I’m about to finish out my dex of all possible catchable mon for my area minus Unown. Just gotta fire up the lucky egg and get to evolving when I have a solid amount of battery tonight.

Training/prestiging seem to be out. Sucks because I only have that badge in silver.
Taking down gyms is much easier and quicker. And if there’s an open slot you can just drop in which is nice.

Same with the badge, but at bronze. I don’t visit gyms often. I think I was JUST over 10 trainings.

My area got taken over by a rival team full of cheaters and hard core players so the gyms took forever to take down and I got kicked out quickly meaning very little training in comparison.

I’m only level 28 and everyone in the gyms near me are 30+ and have much better pokemon. Its whatever though, I’m content just to catch new stuff if and when that happens.
Didn’t know you could catch the ones you defeat.

I can get a tier 3 down to about 1/3 HP by myself, I just tried one that was a Machamp tonight. Eventhough I had a good team of Psychic Pokémon I still could do it, and I’m level 30.

I found something funny today, even very weak Pokémon can take up to 3 battles to kick out. I faiught a 100cp eevee and Tedeusa at two separate gyms and they took 3 battles. It seems the only way to take out a Pokémon in less than 3 try’s is too use something super effective against it.
