You’re wrong. It’s the Miata.
You can’t make this shit up. Less than an hour after buying a 70s Jaguar my 00s Mazda’s camshaft position sensor gives up the ghost. So much for visiting family this weekend.

But you have a nice, reliable British Leyland product standing by to take to see your family!

Very similar to when my Yukon broke down, and was recovered with my MGB. Granted, all it needed was a jump start, but I’m sure more than one person thought the Yukon was jumping the MGB.
Congrats on the XJS. I’ve always liked the look of those. Hmm...Cougar for a Jag...that seems like it would be an appropriate transition.

The CAS on my 2002 Miata also failed about two years ago. Easiest, cheapest fix ever.

Mine failed on my ‘99. I used the cheap $10, or whatever, sensor from parts train. It worked just fine!

I’d say the Jaguar is broken unless it isn’t broken yet. Or again.
