how many hypothetical miles does it have?

are there any theretical miles?

I bet there are some spiritual miles.

Wow, if this was a ‘91 or ‘92 with the rear wheel fender skirts (and maybe the civil counterpart of the 9c1 package), I’d seriously want this. I think it’ll go for around 14.500$, but the reserve would not be met. Clean, fairly low mileage Impala SS go for that, I don’t see why a lesser equipped Caprice 9c1 would be worth more.

The reserve is a big stupid mystery. I do quite a bit on eBay and I generally will not touch an auction with a reserve and I never list with a reserve price. I’ll set a certain opening bid amount if I am worried about what my auction will return.

The civil counterpart of the 9C1 was the Impala SS and what few of those remain are completely worn out. A final-generation Caprice cop car that’s never seen service is a unicorn. I think $15k would be a fair price, but it’s a rare find.

There is an ardent following of cop cars out there, both the 9C1 and the Ford P71. This car should have no problem fetching $20k, assuming that it really does have only 14k miles, though the engine compartment does not look like 14k miles to me... It’ll be interesting to follow.

I will enter you into the sweepstakes at $14.5k. Good luck!

Thanks! I was talking about the B4U “package” when mentioning the civilian version of the 9c1. It basically is a 9c1 in civilian form, but without the design features that make the Impala SS an Impala SS.

I’m not 100% sure about the availability of clean, low mile Impala SS, but looking at the for sale section of the ImpalaSSforum-forums, I always had the impression that there are plenty available for around the price range I mentioned.

I wonder if the B4U package would be the LTZ trim level. You may know more about this than I do, though I have many years been a more-than-casual observer of the big RWD police cruisers.

It might be, I couldn’t tell you for sure. B4U is the internal option code, I’m not sure if it was the code for LTZ for the entire lifespan for that gen Caprice.

I saw an LTZ once and assumed it was a dressed-up 9C1, but then later, I saw an LTZ with a 305 and said, NOPE!
