My wife just sent me this picture. Only 62,000 miles and we now have a similar or worse dent at all four corners from assholes in parking lots. I was planning on getting some body work done but at this point it seems like it’ll just get another dent as soon as I drop $2k to get all of this fixed.

All kidding aside, because you are awesome, and I’m sure she’s awesome, it looks like most of that can be buffed out (ha ha, not kidding) and the dent could be PDRd. Are there more dents? The scuffs don’t look too deep.
But people do suck so damned bad. We have, what, 22k miles on our ‘14 Crosstrek, and it has dents or scuffs from parking lots on 3/4 of the doors, both rear fenders, and the bumper. It sucks so bad.

I’m OK with this. I wonder how much I would need... I’m seriously considering getting dash cams that keep recording when the car is off and putting one in each window.

Yeah this one and one on the other side probably can be PDR’d. I’m OK with it being “better than it was” and not perfect. One of the front fenders I can probably just buff, but the other needs a full replacement. I’m toying with the idea of buying one off of totaled one that was hit on the other side on car-part.com in the same color and calling it close enough.

My wife parked one time in a spot closer to the office building last week and some asshole dinged the drivers door. New Pacifica with 15k on it. Normally we park out in the back of the lot because of this, but she was worried about rain when coming back out to the car later... people are asholes in parking lots a lot of times, not saying all are, or it’s more than 50/50, but it’s pretty damn close. My cars are antisocial and they like to park away from all other cars if possible. Or way over on an end spot.
But at the end of the day, it’s still just stuff and it can be fixed. But also.... fuck those assholes that can’t figure out how to open a fucking car door responsibly.
