Kinja'd!!!

If you dont mind your NSX having gone through a tank of gas before purchase then you can enjoy $20,000 off MSRP. Honda, when your polarizing little FWD economy car (with a 4-cyl engine making the same amount of power as the 4-popper that Jaguar is treating as a base engine at the same price point), can command over a 40% markup while your technological powerhouse of a supercar — with performance that completely decimates any other production car the company has ever built — is being discounted really makes me wonder if horses just arent for Hondas.

I mean seriously Oppo, have you heard about how fast the Civic Sport is?!! NSX does sub-3 seconds to 60 mph but it’s the slowest sub-3 seconds ever. Go back to Ohio ya Japanaese piece of junk! Leave me a 180 hp Honda Fit CRX on your way out. You know, a real performance car!! Id pay $35,000 for that (as long as MSRP was no higher than $22,000).

I’d rather buy the NSX just to support the engineers who designed it, they’re good people.

ah, the Civic Type-R, the rare car that’s actually cheaper in Canada then down here! :p

(supposedly up there, it’s illegal to sell for over MSRP)

Also, they can get a manual sport touring hatch (down here, it’s CVT-only)

Both dealers I know about in my area (there are four Honda dealers in Greater Richmond but only two on this side) sold their CTRs at MSRP. Not sure about the other two. There’s also one at a dealer in a small town about an hour away selling for MSRP.

also, the closest Acura dealer with an NSX is 2 hours away. There are two without any in between.

The amount of effort done for a car that was on the chopping block at every moment since 2009 shows how dedicated the men and women (especially in the US) were about making this very special car actual happen. The car was completely rebuilt three times in 7 years which is around the life span of ONE vehicle generation for supercars and we complain it took too long!

Honda is all about dreams and this is a shining example of a group of people that did everything to make that dream a reality so that some lucky owners can live it every single day.

NSXs will depreciate deliciously.

Given enough funds I would happily stretch the NSX into my budget at $20k discount than pay the outrageous markup for the Type-R. If I remember correctly this happened to the NSX following launch too, where there was so much pent up demand that people were laying down stupid money for an NSX. Now look at it languish on dealer lots! I wonder if there is a correlation?

It’s actually possible to get your very own CTR for just $10,000. #bankingjokesthatnoonewillget
