Kinja'd!!!

I came home from work to find a turd on the floor. At least now that it’s the future we have smartphones with poop emoji to properly convey our dissatisfaction to our spouses when one of the cats chooses not to use the litter box.

(The cat who most likely left the on the carpet went to the vet yesterday, and we had to provide a stool sample.)

You can use the litter box or you can have liberty, not both.

We have an old arthritic cat (piddle pads are a godsend) and a neurotic cat the ways they their convey displeasure are not subtle.

Your cat now understands the real hierarchy in your house. It’s time to pack up and move on to a new place; that’s the cat’s house now.

The likely culprit of this is 15, has hyperthyroidism, and also uses piddle pads. I had not heard the term “piddle pads” before, but I like it. Pro tip: Costco has the best deal for a 100-count box of the XL size ones for like 15 bucks.

Usually she at least poops in the litter box, but occasionally she doesn’t. 90% of the time it’s if we don’t scoop right before we go to bed and the overnight litter box conditions do not meet her exacting standards.

The cat figured this out a long time ago.

At least this place is a rental.

Ours is 19 going on 20 and she struggles to climb into the box at times so containment is must. The neurotic one is usually mad at our toddler for being loud and todder like.
