The SRT front end is already on the Durango R/T before the SRT Durango is even out! Just admit you are ditching the crosshairs and RAM is keeping them instead of pretending you aren’t going to do it. It’s already migrated to all the 5.7L models, just check the options. There’s 18 to 36 months left with these models...plenty of time to drop the grille to the V6 models and BOOM, the new generations come out completely devoid of the crosshairs and no one notices the loss until months after it has been killed off.

On the other hand, letting the crosshairs serve as a brand distinction between so-called “RAM” and Dodge legitimizes Dodge and RAM as being two separate entities, which I still (years later) continue to call bullshit on.

That random nipple on the lower grille section is awful. WHY?

They hid an intake in a fog light housing, I think they can figure out a sleeker spot for that. Honestly the lens itself is probably only half an inch in diameter, without the weird nipple housing it could have been hidden almost anywhere.

I don’t understand them either.

I still don’t think the public has totally accepted Ram as a separate brand. I have a friend that bought a 2016 Laramie Longhorn, and he continually refers to it as his Dodge. Even the VINs still have Dodge’s 1Bx code, which means the American, Canadian, and Mexican governments haven’t even accepted Ram as its own make, and the new TV and radio spots their running now tout the heritage of “Ram and Dodge Trucks”, so they can’t even separate themselves in their own voiceovers.

Not a camera. It’s the radar sending unit for the adaptive cruise control.

Much as I disliked the crosshair grille on the Durango, it looks even worse on the Charger.
