Kinja'd!!!

Look what showed up! In other news, the clutch issues from last week are gone. The MR2 simply started engaging the gears again. No idea why it wasn’t working last week. Anyone else have a favorite car book?

Even if you don’t have a VW or never plan on it. The book is awesome

Happy #MR2sday! My favorite car book is (obviously) the BGB.

I have a copy of that. Not a bad read. One of my favorites is this one by Clarkson

Still gotta order the BGB for my ‘91. Should be great fun to start working on it!

And a very happy #MR2sday to you too!

The thought of picking up a ‘60s or ‘70s aircooled VW keeps bugging me. They’re pretty cheap locally and in decent shape too. Gotta get the MR2 healthy first though, but that book does look pretty awesome...

Haha, Clarkson’s humor usually elicits a chuckle from me, for better or for worse. I’ll look into that one for sure.

That looks fantastic, I hope the Big Green Book I’m ordering for my MR2 is as in-depth as that!

But yes, necessary is probably the best word.

No need to track one down. It’s all online. I keep the AW11 one stored on my tablet -

You would be surprised how vague descriptions are...even 3 volumes deep.

I have this same book. Good resource, but it doesn’t cover the more recent 4th gen swaps. Everything else is still applicable.

How decent is the MR2 Spyder coverage?

It’s more “this is why these machines have a soul” and less shitting all over the pleb’s cars.

Bgb’s for the MR2 are really good. I got the set for my 93+ and I’ve used it quite often. They are also available in .PDF if you look around enough
