I love Maserati, they are my conflicted favorite brand but the only thing that disappoints me is that they aren’t flourishing the way I know they could be. My wish is for nothing more than to see them thrive now that Ferrari has been spun off. Here is how my Maserati lineup would appear for the 2022 model year:
* Note that I would push more performance and even more grand touring style through the use of high performance electric vehicles and upscale hybrids all with a (hopefully) sea mless integration into the exceptional Ferrari-derived engine lineup.

I’m actually really happy how this one came out since I was able to keep prestige pricing while being a great value competitively (in my head at least)! That just tells me Maserati can have the same leap of improvement as Aston Martin is showing while taking a relatively similar market split advantage with suprisingly broad appeal. I may be getting better at this!

Two Crossovers, Two Sedans, Two Coupes, Two Convertibles, and a Hypercar. That’s only 9 cars! What this does highlight is how far powertrains are stretching and expanding model lineups. These 9 cars become 46 models. I’ll have to sit down and map out Mercedes since I’m betting they have the most models of any single brand...ugh, that’s going to take up a day.

This sounds like pure Porsche-competition. If Maserati could improve the quality of their product line they might be able to move upmarket and not have to bundle in dealer-credit of $7000 just to sell a Ghibli.

They used to be positioned above Porsche and top-end Mercedes but the products are too dated now. However, I did notice the Levante pricing is positioning the brand above Porsche again so we shall see where the new generation of Maserati will land. I’m hoping for between Porsche and Aston Martin with that dinner jacket Ferrari personality. Maserati is such a goldmine in branding but an oil spill in management.

Exactly. So many engine variants, just like the Germans. I think in Germany there are 9 or 10 different engines for the E-Class sedan alone, not counting RWD vs AWD or transmission variants. It might not work in this part of the world.

Maserati of Cool Springs here in Nashville, moves a LOT of units. I have seen 3-4 Levantes lately. Also, I have seen a couple Alfa SUVs in the last couple of weeks.
