Kinja'd!!!

Because I understand the temptation. A Silver Spirit, for £6k! And it wasn’t in a bad shape either. But you just know that first repair bill is gonna be twice as much as that. Still tempting...

Working on the rest of the pics from that Rolls weekend, post should be up later today!

I wasn’t. I did get another car offered though. For 19.5K

Kinja'd!!!

Griffith 500, I’d expect these to be a little bit more expensive. Just that color...

Ooooh that has to be tempting.

Awesome car, but shouldn’t a TVR be like three colours at once, of which at least one is purple-ish.

I think that colorchanger is more of a later TVR-era. The black is horrible though.

That’s a good price. many of these are sitting at £25k, with only a couple or so less than £20k.

In that price range I’d rather have a Chimaera or Cerbera.

I know! So I’m totally tempted. There has to be something wrong with it, but it drove the same 150km route we did in the Tuscan without any issues whatsoever! It’s mostly that black color that’s witholding me.

True, the colours you posted fit it better than the black though.

Zegt dat iets over jouw onderhandelskills of over hoe graag de eigenaar er vanaf wil? Haha

Not necessarily. There are cheaper that are still in very good condition.

To be honest there isn’t much to check on them. Check the leather seat condition, the chassis tubing, fibreglass body for repairs and engine maintenance.

I heard about the chassis now and then giving issues, Harry Metcalfe also mentioned it in one of his videos.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

But I don’t need another car, there’s already 6 of ‘m around the house!!!

I suppose chassis is a stretch really. More a junior Ariel Atom with a fibreglass dress on.

Thankfully it simply unbolts and drops out (a few other things too but essentially unbolts).

Ye’, adding a TVR to the garage may sound good but would it be used? would you trust yourself with it? You made the right choice, adore from a far.

That’s also the cost of a brake system overhaul. Still, a lot of style for the money.

Yeah, there’s a bit of a “what could possibly go wrong” flavor with that one!

It’s the hydraulics that scare me on these cars.

I know a guy who had an early Shadow (1967) for sale - black on magnolia, hydraulics overhauled a few years ago, full history, excellent running and driving condition. $15K USD, but even at that price, I’d be way too scared to take the plunge.
