My little ‘85 Honda Aero is off to a new owner and new adventures. I realized as I was signing over the title that I’ve owned this longer than any of my other bikes, longer than I’ve owned any single bike. I’m going to miss this goofy little thing.
This was the first “beater” I picked up off craigslist, the first non-runner I fixed, my first small displacement bike, my first (and still only) CVT, my first two stroke. I learned so much from this thing, so much about what I like and don’t like in motorcycling. I’m pretty sure it is the reason I jumped off the sportbike bandwagon.
I realized that, as much fun as it is, she wasn’t going to see much use with the Grom and the Stella in the garage, and that my garage was getting a little bit crowded. I didn’t want it to end up like it was when I got it, unused stored in a corner for years. I wanted it to go out in good running order, still able to max out a speedo and drag frame every corner.
It went to a good friend of mine, so it’s not really “gone”. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing yet, but I know he’ll ride it and enjoy it a lot more than I have over the last few months.

Yeah, I’m already regretting it, but it was time. The new owners ride home was more miles than I’ve put on her in the past 4 months.
Still, I get the feeling this is going to be one of those “I wish I’d never sold my...” moments.

At least it lives on though. Believe me, you’ll regret it eventually. Perfect excuse to plan your next rebound :)

A Genuine Stella? I’m not a big bike guy, but I am a huge scooter buff....want to get my bike license sometime to get one and the Stella looks like a cool scoot :)

I ride a Genuine Buddy but I see a lot of Stellas around and they always make me happy. They’re gorgeous.
