I remember six years ago when they were in the $15k territory. I love it, but my wallet would hate me for repair costs.

At the right price point, I could live with the higher cost of maintenance and repairs. At $35-40k, that makes a lot less sense.
They seem to be wringing their hands on BaT over that sell price - no one can figure out why the bidding ended there, or why the reserve was low enough to sell at that price.
Either there’s something off that everyone is missing (doubt it), or this is just an anomaly (probably), or prices are actually dropping (highly unlikely).
