Meh, except the last few seconds where we get a good look at the pickup. Doesn’t give you details of course but it does tell you what kind of truck it will be

Interesting. I’m sure pricing will be equivalent to other medium size trucks. While it would be cool to have a removable top pickup, I’m sure the $40k+ price tag for the non-base model will keep me away.

Not sure why but lately I’ve been getting a jeep itch. Only problem is i’d only rock a 6MT unlimited, preferable not a base model. Those seem to hold value stupidly well around me though, and I don’t feel like paying a few thousand off sticker for a used example with 40k on it..

I’m expecting the exterior to be extremely underwhelming. It will look like a JK with minor styling updates. The pickup will look like an AEV Brute with the same minor styling updates.

The one thing I’m curious to see is the rumored power folding top. Will it make lowering the top as simple as any other convertible? Will it be relatively quiet and free of leaks like every other non-Jeep convertible?

Power folding, insulated hardtop would be awesome. That way you get all of the top-down fun in the summer, as well as being much more comfortable in the winter.

I’ve been contemplating this too. Manual 4-door convertible checks a lot of boxes even if it does drive like ass on-road. Plus my daughter loves them. Is only bother buying new though, because they do hold value so well. Probably worth it long run. Get a 5 year loan, then sell it for just a few grand less after its paid off and use that as the down payment on one to keep forever.

They are going to sell every one of those pickups they can make even at $40k a pop. Even with the camo you can tell they nailed the looks.
