helping to bumper to bumper re-wire a 51 Dodge Mayfair. also going from 6 volt positive ground to 12 volt negative. Jeff bought the 51 to save on gas. No instructions, plus we’ve already modifed it. Pray for us!

easier on gas than a yukon. and a flathead six/three/tree is all the drivline you’ll ever need. makes my ohv6 2 speed glide seem like star trek.

never even asked the displacement. “It’s a flathead six” “oh good, we can worry about fixing everything else” This motor will continue to roamthe earth by itself when the mad max times come. Doesn’t need guzzoline, it leaks excellence.

I’m assuming the gauges are 6V straight and you may have to stick a gauge regulator in?

We’re both somewhat-proffesional wiring guys. so of course we’re doing it with ebay stuff for which we have lost the chinese/dutch instructions, he’s a stereo guy so we have resistors and stuff. gas guage might be fun, most others are mechanical. (temp/oil). underhood wiring was okay, in dash all the insulation turned to dust so it was just a mess of black/pink corroded exposed gnarled copper 6 volt mess. Car worked fine. may have the devil in it.

6V: doesn’t jump far, but if it shorts, will amp the living shit out of absolutely anything. Devil a possibility.
It’d sure be nice if they tended to stock things like this at the local auto parts store...:
