Free?! Jealous!

Those are what some Deere heads call the last of the “real” Deeres. They’re not worth a ton but they’ll run longer than what you buy at Lowe’s or Home Despot today.

Parts machine!

There’s surprisingly good money in old garden tractor parts.

Well it turned over, and started with gas into the air chamber, then backfired and that fuel was on fire, grabbed hose and put it out.

Might just see about flipping it for $200

Needs a new starter and some fuel lines and probably the filter battery, belts.

Clean runners are fetching around $600+ in my neck of the woods. $200 as-is and it should sell quick.

Well for $34 I just ordered a starter, I have to wait for my mom. We picked it up for her, so last thing I want to do is piss her off.

If it only needs a little work to make it mow I may put up to $100 into it and see where it goes. I’ll update on Oppo.

My dad says he’ll give me to winter to get something done with it or we scrap it.

That’s got a 42", two-blade deck. If it spins, is complete and even roughly straight, the deck alone will bring $200. They’re in high demand because, when cleaned up, they cut exceptionally well.

The transaxle, if all gears work, is also worth a couple of hundred - they’re the weak link in the early 80s Deeres, so are valuable if intact.

I’ve rebuilt a 180 and 112L - this ones successor. Use the 180 for snow blowing, gave the 112, with that 42" deck, to a friend’s dad, who shouldn’t push a mower anymore. They’re great machines after some TLC.

They’re all awesome with a little work.

This Honda keeps going even after I called it dead. Twice! It won’t die.

I need to get back to Chicago to pick up dad’s Ford LGT 165. Its restored so I may not use it as intended.
