I’m not gonna say you’re cursed.

But you’re cursed

You know why I don’t trust the dip stick in my Mazda? It says FOMOCO.

Shock mount. That was the whole reason for all this

Pretty sure you’re not supposed to take the lug nuts off with a hammer and chisel

Yup looks like swollen nuts ;). Those looks like the two piece lug nuts I was referring to in your earlier post. If you can strip the chrome caps off, you might still have usable lug nuts underneath.

my nuts were swollen

I guess this is a common problem with these cars. I had to hammer the socket onto the nuts to get it on. Then once the nut was off, it was stuck in the socket so I had to hold the socket with vice grips and bang the nut out. I got a whole new set of nuts

i was afraid of getting a flat and not being able to get the lugs off so I swapped out all of them today

Good call. I’ve seen quite a few shitty swollen lug nuts on cars that come into our shop. I had a similar thing happen on my 2000 Sebring 5 or so years ago. They never got bad enough to have to swap them out, but they would stick in the socket every once in a while.so it’s not just ford.

I think you got lugnut cancer.
