The CARS is my favourite bands. Elliot Easton (their guitarist) I think is one the best guitarists of the of 80s, & Gren Hawkes kills the keys.

Got a nice little sunburn at the beach on Friday. (Totally worth it.) Had dinner with one of my dearest friends last night. Working today in lieu of going to the pride parade. A+ overall.

One of mine will probably be in assisted living by the fall/winter. She had really bad short term memory issues. She is forgetting her meds, breakfast, basic things. She had PSW visit her every morning to help her get road. Physically she is great (88 & no cane), but every thing else is not so good.

Yeah assisted is safer. One perk is that they are around other people to socialize/activities with. My grandmother used to love to cook, and would start the stove, or tea kettle and have to sit to rest. Then forget.

She already lives in a retirement apartment complex (sold her house 2 years ago) with assisted living in the other of the building. She does get out lots, & socialize lots (chair yoga, puzzle night, choir, etc). Once she is in a routine she’s fine, it’s getting her into a routine that is the challenge. She helps make breakfast with the psw, goes to the dining room for lunch & dinner. It’s not like she has limited income, she is retired doctor & $300k+ from the house sale.
