Picked this up at the gas station thinking “Oh a special Mondelo!” Turns out, it tastes like V8 and club soda. It’s only 3.5% alcohol too.
I then looked up Chelada in google translate and it said it means “cheated,” which is fitting because that’s exactly how I feel.
And yes, I know it says tomato flavored in small print on the can. But when you make something this wacky you gotta make it more clear than that. In my defense, it says cerveza at the top, and this tastes nothing like beer.

More often than not I buy my beer from a Mexican owned bodega by my building and from what I can tell those things FLY off the shelf. I love Modelo and I love Bloody Marys so I thought one of those tall boys would be a great choice to kick start an NFL Sunday. As much as I tried I just couldn’t dig it. Also I apologize but I had a chuckle at your expense not knowing Michelada involved tomato LOL.

Chelada is short for Michelada, a beer mixed with tomato juice (or Clamato) and a few other ingredients
A real Michelada is great. Oddly enough the best canned Chelada I’ve had is Budweiser spicy Chelada. I haven’t tried this Modelo version though
