Whenever those popups show up, I just go back to oppositelock, my data is too expensive to waste on their ads. I tried refreshing a couple times, but these banner ads saying “sponsored links by kinja” or something popped up. Not sure how they’re getting past Adblock, but I don’t appreciate it.

Take: I’d rather have them do that than go native ads. The current ad system is something I can deal with because it’s still honest about being advertising. Yes, there’s that Porsche bit about being a race driver, but I reckon it checks out.
Besides, until I can wire GMG $20B (intercepting transactions done by other criminal conglomerates is hard work, you know) they’re gonna have to make money with what they can.
Oh, and BTW, I’m protecting Hamilton Nolan. Even if it kills me.

I don’t mind Jezebel. I don’t visit often because I’m not their target audience, but sometimes there’s some stuff I want to read (since GMG needed to spread out of the Gawker content to various other blogs).
