Kinja'd!!!

The last couple years I kept forgetting I should buy a fan until the heat reminded me. Of course, by that time they were sold out everywhere, and stayed sold out the whole summer. So today was the first properly hot day we’ve had (30 Celsius), and we bought a nice tower fan that was on sale for $55. Nice and quiet, and it even has a remote. So far I would definitely recommend it.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve already got my fans set up here next to my model plane. They really make summer bearable, would recommend.

30C. That’s mental.

We’ve been having mid to high teens where I am and my room is about 20.

I’ve a ceiling fan on, 15" fan behind me and just got a 5" desktop fan on my face under the computer.

Anything over low 20s and I start to go crazy.

As much as I don’t like the amount of rain and cloudiness in the UK, I think the temperature is pretty much perfect for me. I’m fine with low 20s, but 30 is too much. Going into the interior of BC is something else, when it gets near 40. At least it’s a drier heat there, and windy.

Being a Cumbrian. High heat combined with no rain is like the end of the world for us.

The humidity is stifling. Especially when your a Fatty McFatso like myself.

At least with the cold you can put a shirt or something on, in heat your screwed.

Heh. You’d die here in Austin. The heat index is already over 40° C, with actual temps around 38° C.

Luckily, air conditioning is pretty much everywhere. I have my workshop air conditioned and it’s glorious.

nice - I got our cr@py old fans out last night, but they still work. Supposed to be 90f/32c down here tomorrow. Wife is vying for one of those portable AC units...

Last night was the first night it was hot/humid enough to run the A/C all night. Mid-high 80s, but it was uncomfortable enough to run it.

It was damn hot here, I bought a portable AC in Ja pan and I bring it everywhere I move. I hate super hot weather. I’m done, AC only. It’s back to just warm now I think. I had some days off and we surfed as much as possible.
