Actually, I really like that generation accord coupe...And of course the s2k...and that generation is my favorite SI...

Drove my dads car yesterday while mine was in the shop. 2006 accord coupe v6 auto. Pretty decent car, and I can see how one with a 6 speed would be great.

He bought his with 30k on the clock for $13k which was a steal at the time since they were holding their value. I hadnt driven it in years until yesterday and I saw that it has 196k miles now...Never had a single problem. I guess the trans problems arent as common as I feared when I was looking at acura CLs

Well the Accord and the Acura 3.2s have different engines, the Accord a 3.0 and Acura a 3.2. Transmission problems are worse-to a degree-on the 3.2s, but any engine will last if you keep up with your fluids and routine maintenance.

In the early 90s they were at risk of being taken over by Mitsubishi. They’ve done pretty well for themselves since then.

True, but that made them build some very good cars. Their more modern stuff seems less reliable and more bloated. We had a 2000 Civic sedan which was a great car, never let us down once and very well built. The new Civic just seems all about crazy styling and I’ve heard a lot of quality issues with their more recent stuff.
