Thanks to Flavian-San (domo domo arigato gozaimas!) pointing them out. I had honestly stopped searching for them on Yahoo Japan etc.. because they are so expensive. These are around $600 but I have seen them go for $1700 in auctions in Asia and the USA. They won’t do international shipping so I am getting a mail forwarding service in Japan to ship it out. I wanted to ask my sister in law but my wife said no... shut down. She also had to talk to the guy in Japan and the forwarding company for me so she is annoyed! Thank you dear! I’ve never seen a pair of these on a car in person, in the USA so I’m stoked. These are not from the early 70's, Nissan was allowing someone to make them as replacement parts until the 90's or so and you could actually order them with a part number from a Nissan dealer, but many US Z owners have no idea the cars were meant to come with these, damn the USA and their light cover laws! Jaaaag people felt the pain as well, no E Type looks good to me after the first gen and the third is an abomination, like the 280Z park bench bumpers.

I’m going to be nervous as fuck!! New paint and JDM light covers, I’ll never park near anyone again and stay way the fuck away from cars in front of me.

I really want to see the car in person one day. I have had Z’s off and on since I was a teenager, yours looks to be one of the nicest examples I’ve ever seen.

Thanks, it hasn’t always been easy getting this shit done! When it is done I will post a big build photo timeline. Once I take some good pics of the finished car up on the mountain etc.. I have a DSLR camera I will have to get out to take nice ones.

I so love these, the way a Z is supposed to look. I’d be tempted to leave them off except for meets.

Looks like they screw into the buckets all around the outside edge so that wouldn’t be good to take off. I started really looking at how they go on. They come with stainless screws. I guess fit them, make a mark with an awl and then make tiny pilot holes. I have two metal headlight buckets, we replaced the fiberglass ones to make it easier on my friend doing the body work. They have parts cars. I have all the spares. My car actually came with a Datsun 510 SSS wheel and I had to get a Z wheel. I have that too if anyone needs one, probably rare given how many 510 SSS coupes are around.

I’ve really had to look at how to install them. I found a copy of original instructions on a Z forum and my wife can read it. They mount little rectangular points with two screws that have threads for the main one that secures them. Which is nice because you can remove them pretty easily for cleaning. I may take them off the car when I park it at the storage place though... it’s not inside. I will see... makes me nervous..

.98 Euro is 1.10 USD

1 US gallon is 3.78 liters

So I think somewhere around $4.15 a gallon. That is some pricey gas

I assumed you made a mistake haha, I was like, ok good info! I don’t know about a video but I will take some pics tonight. I have Sunday off so I can take it for a drive and take some pics out in nature on the mountain. I will try to post some stuff tonight.

Yeah... odd mistake lol.

You lucky son of a gun. I can’t wait to own my own Z car. It’ll have to be a 260Z though.
