Kinja'd!!!

I got PIAA LP270's. The guy who installed them did a great clean job. They will only turn on with the head lights, & turn off with the high beams in. He fabbed up really nice mounts to.

Why didn’t you do it yourself? Would’ve been a fun project, you could’ve used a vice and some metal to make just as good mounts and depending on whether or not those were aftermarket replacements I bet the cable situation wouldn’t have been to hard? Not that I’m judging, you know I just like to save a buck

That level of wrenching is our of my range. The garage is also in the middle of a renovation, so it’s huge sand pit. Looking at work done, I could have never done it as good.

I’m confused as to what makes this harder than installing any aftermarket headlight? I see that it needed new mounts, which I guess could be hard, I’m more of a bend some steel in a vise, drill some holes add paint and bolt that shit in, if the wiring needed serious work I could see some difficulty

The wiring was the deal breaker. I much rather be driving then working on it TBH. I’m not fan working on my cars. I’ll change my oil, tires, & clean brakes. That’s itm

I would be very happy with the fabrication if the lights I bought we’re plug and play replacements, I don’t have a suadering iorn so I couldnt wire a factory connector on without one, and then I’d be forced to look at wiring diagrams which would be terrible, so I would pay someone to wire it then make mounts because I’ve found fabricator charge way to much for something that could simply be made at home with some metal and time

I keep wanting to put fog lights on my truck but to do that you have to either cut up the current bumper end caps to accept the lights and risk fucking it up, buy a kit that has the fog light ready caps which you then have to get painted, or switch to chrome caps which makes your LT trim level truck look like a lowly LS.

Not worth it, especially when the regular old headlights are alarmingly good for halogen reflectors.
