From a weather site a few miles from my house... While I still would not have ordered the truck in white, it turns out that one advantage of a white truck with a gray interior (combined with tinted windows and an insulated mylar sun shade) is that the interior is nowhere nearly as hot after all day in the sun as the corvette was with a red exterior and black leather interior.

I learned this week why I shouldn’t leave my red exterior/black interior Miata top-down in direct view of the sun when it’s 111 deg. F out. Searing is what it felt like. Had to check to see if my slacks melted to my legs.

Ha! That’s not my place. The picture of my truck on the right is my desktop on the second monitor at work. It was taken in the driveway of a friend near Eula, TX. I stopped to see him on the way back from picking up the truck. We spent a glorious night bluesing it up (he’s a blues muscian), drinking whiskey and otherwise howling at the moon.
