I agree - though some people absolutely love most of the 911 targas. I don’t like the look of any targa though.

By any targa I mean:
- Corvette
- Supra
- NSX
- 911
- Viper

Doesn’t matter what the car is. They look decent with the top on about 95% of the time, but they look bad with the top off.

That said, the 911 is one of those cars that looks significantly worse in targa form - top on or off.

Classic Porsche Targas look a whole lot better than new Porsche Targas. They’re still awesome, though, so you still should be ashamed of yourself. And, dumb? It’s the perfect solution. Cabrios are dumb.

There is something about the targa I love, maybe it’s the mix of vert and coupe, but I think it’s still great, I would never see myself in a Porsche very, but a targa hell ya

I love the way it looks.

As a mechanical engineer, the roof mechanism gives me orgasms and nightmares. I wish the rear glass was fixed and the targa portion was just a shitty folding frame with a piece of cloth that could be removed and stashed in the trunk like the originals.
