I remember seeing a poster at a Toyota dealer circa 1997 advertising these “limited-edition” models. One was the Tercel Blackhawk and there were a bunch of other ones.
Even my underdeveloped six-year-old brain couldn’t figure out who in their right mind would be scrambling to buy a rare, special edition Tercel.

Friend of mine had a Blackhawk. These were actually pretty limited production I think, the problem being they were just a slightly different body kit and spoiler, as opposed to anything that would actually make the car faster.
