A R50 Mini Cooper.
It slow, but they handle very well. They also don’t have the problems of the R53 with the super charger. I’ll also dare say its like a FWD Miata. They are also dirt cheap to buy. Their proportions are also perfect.

Do it. Do it now! I love mine a ton. They are surprisingly quick for something with only 115hp. You don’t notice a relative lack of power until you are under 3k in 4th. Really they are plenty quick up to about 60mph.

I have a friend who had one. Traded it for FoST. Said dealer clutch replacement was quoted at 3k. Other shops wouldn’t even touch it. Plus you get the pantheon of quality, German engineering built by the British.

My friend just traded his 2005 R50 for 2009 Coblat SS Sedan. He would not let me drive it. Driving with it, it is was damn quick.

With a more open intake the NA engine sounds pretty good as well. Nice and grumbly and angry.
