My pro tip - submit as many applications as you can possibly bare everyday until you have a job. Worked for me and seems to be the general consensus of a way to get a job these days.

Knowing someone got me my last two internships but I had no luck this go around. Had to grind it out for two weeks but ended up with a better job then anyone would have had for me.

Yeah, I will the second school is done...with report cards and the winding down of the school year, it’s hard to get anything done on the job front. The issue is the way the application process works for the school board here though. With my experience level, I can only apply to jobs during certain ‘rounds’ and even though I just had a term, it wasn’t a FULL year term, so it doesn’t count in moving me up to the next round. As a result, I am stuck in the last round which is essentially the “not 100% but 80% or less full time / whatever else is left over” round :/

Yeah that’s very tough. I was submitting some applications before school got done but I never really felt like I had traction until after I was done and I could really focus on it.

I’m not sure what field you’re in, but maybe there are recruiting services available. I was applying to jobs on Indeed, and I thought I was applying directly for a job but it was actually a recruiter. She talked me through the process and helped me land the job. I believe the company gave her a finder’s fee, but I did not pay her a dime. She was super helpful. But I don’t know what your line of work is. I’m an analytical chemist. Good luck.

:D I know some about older Citroens...as for the avatar, I just really liked the image when I found it on Flickr the other day...as sappy as it sounds, it was sortof, I guess I could say, derelict-looking but still proud (I especially like how the lower chevron has fallen off but where it was is still clearly visible as a chevron). :)
Old tiny FIATs are my true love, and weird Eastern Bloc cars like old Skodas and Trabants (and of course, old ‘Citroen-y’ Citroens that were far more special than the modern ones....though their recent cars are getting back to that awesome French quirkiness [the Cactus, new C3, etc]):P

Left my job at the diner late May right before they closed for the summer. Haven’t found anything yet.
My town is miserable for work right now because it is extremely seasonal. We get so many part time seasonal jobs but only during winter. This time of year no one is hiring.
