Kinja'd!!!

...and purdy bike is purdy. Got the engine in the frame, most of it bolted back together and the rear caliper rebuilt :)

Also, a mate of mine is kindly rebuilding my carbs for me as he’s quiet at work at the moment which saves one job :)

Also thinking that i’ve got an ancient can of high temp paint i’ve never used that would do very nicely on the lower section of the engine...

I’m really impressed with your pace om this project, maybe you should try a similar approach on one of the Spits, haha. ;)

Thanks man! This one does appear to be moving quickly :) I think part of the reason for that is I’m working on it solidly. I usually do this much work, but on about a dozen different things at any one time :S

After the bike it’s finishing up a mock rear spring for the Spit so I can weld on the suspension mounts, build up the front and rear suspension and then do a dry fit of all the major components to check clearances :) oh, and a last smidge of welding on the roof ;)

Yeah, I think the focussed work helps the progress.

I’m very curious how the suspension will work out in the end, but given all your research, it sounds promissing.

Helps the feeling of progress certainly, which is a hell of a motivator ;)

Yeah I really like it too :) got the darkest metallic green I could get in a rattle can and sprayed it over a coat of black to darken it further. Worked an absolute treat :)
