It’s for sale too if you hate having savings.

4 speed, diesel (probably Mercedes). 86. 35 inch tires look super wrong on it though and it looks like there is no room in the rear arches for any suspension travel. 33s would make this perfect.

I was surprised when 2 FJ pickups went for what I considered a low price at Mecum Denver last year. Both were quite minty and went for around $14-15k.

Very nice. I have to agree about the tires too. The headlights look out of place as well, but it seems to be in great condition. What are they asking for it?

Bandeirantes go for significantly less than actual 40 series Land Cruisers.

I hate these led headlights that ICON et al. use. I think they look like turds.

Are all pickups Bandeirantes? I don’t know the lineage of these at all, other than thinking FJs in general are pretty cool little vehicles.

I’d agree that FJ’s are pretty cool!

Just about all Land Cruisers from the early FJ25 to the present 200 series have been made in Japan by Toyota. Bandierantes are based on and very similar to the FJ45 pickup but were made in Brazil by Toyota do Brasil and often used Mercedes diesel engines. Towards the end of production the series moved back to Toyota’s B series diesel. While Toyota stopped making the 40 series in 1984, Brasilian production continued until the late 90's (or early 2000's?), so there were numerous changes to the 40 series that weren’t produced in Japan. Some consider them not as high quality or as well made especially as they saw many more plastic and redesigned parts to keep costs reasonable.

They can look good depending on the application, but when the overall vehicle is kept “retro” they just stand out. And not in a good way.
