I was going to say, there’s having an eco-fixated kamm tail space pod shape, and then there’s having part of that shape made up of retractable floppy fabric and with exposed fasteners and trim. Were reliability not an object, I think the PT convertible would actually be a winner over this.

On a barely related note. I think having a hybrid would be awesome if it had the selectable brake regen like the leaf (pretty sure it does) plus some good steering.

I wish B mode in my Prius actually did increase regen. It instead has the engine rev up to help braking that way.
The steering’s surprisingly good, though, in the Gen 4. The very fast rack helps, and it’s light, but has enough weight to it that it doesn’t feel bad at all. Not sure that there’s much actual feel, but, eh, it still feels natural enough.

I’m not super concerned with road feel. More the feeling of the steering getting heavier/lighter as grip builds/lets go.
But the B mode is disappointing. I drove a Leaf and it was fantastic. You could drive around the city only using the brake when you came to a complete stop, it was incredible. A hybrid with that kind of braking mode would take my money if
A) I had the money
B) I needed a daily driver, but also had a fun car.

I had not seen that. That’s almost on the level of the aftermarket Cadillac landau top that had an extra little fabric piece to cover exactly 1/3" of the gas lid.

Chevy Volt has both an L mode that does what you want, and a paddle on the steering wheel for even more regen (which can be used in either D or L, but from what I’ve heard, comes on too strong in D).
