A Mat ‘54 train, also called Hondekop (doghead), at the railway station in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Quite an uncommon sight as it was built in the late 50s/early 60s, and has been withdrawn from duty in the ‘90s.
Written from aboard a much newer Stadler Flirt train.

I wonder if it was a museum train. Some preserved locomotives and equipment are brought out for specical occasions here in the USA, while the British run their antiques all the time.

It’s definitely some kind of heritage train, had some writing about 150 years something on the side, I’m guessing 150 years dutch railways. They’ve got at least 2 remaining in decent state, of which one is in a museum, so I’m guessing this is the other one that is used for some kind of historical railing.
