Kinja'd!!!

Must resist Mustang jokes........

I sold my Mustang about a year and a half ago. Got a text from the current owner. She took the Mustang up to the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup in Steamboat Springs. Apparently did quite well in the autocross and the show and shine competition.

I was glad to see the car getting some good use. A bit of autocrossing to put the suspension mods to good use. Appears that a new front bumper cover was installed - original had 130K of road rash, and a general buff to make her shine.

I was glad the current owner reached out and sent a few pics. I did tell her last year that I would like first dibs when she sells the car.

Anyone else ever get updates on a vehicle they sold or ever bought one back?

The buyer of my RX-8 called me after a few months, asking what kind of oil he should put in.
The car had an oil metering pump adapter to inject fresh 2-stroke oil instead of used 4-stroke engine oil from the sump. I had sold him the car about 3 months prior, and had given him the rest of the 2-stroke oil I had, as he ran out, he got to the french equivalent of autozone and asked for engine oil.
Not knowing what they were dealing with, it ensued in a lot of confusion. I told him to go get some 2-stroke racing oil (I usually put Castrol in it, because GT Supra), hoping for the best, and no more calls.
