Kinja'd!!!

$5.36 CAD. Shipped.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I’m almost positive it’ll be shit, but considering that I could buy 6 of them for the price of the cheapest digital meter I could find anywhere else... Heck if it came with a battery I’d throw it out and buy a new one when the battery died :)

Expect a review when it shows up.

That thing looks real similar to the Harbor Freight freebies. Aside from an on-off switch:

Probably made in the same factory. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least.

I think I have the EXACT same one. It’s pretty good actually

Some of the Harbor freight ones are exactly like the one he pictured. I have one just like it.

“Pretty good” pretty good, or “good for the price” pretty good? If the former, that’s pretty impressive.

I’ll find out I guess. Even if it’s total shit I’ll have some fun tearing it to bits, so worth it either way :)

It looks exactly like the one I got from Harbor freight. It works great for checking voltages. Accurate enough for most car related things, and basic home wiring. I have not tried the transistor check though.

They’re fine for low voltage use, but I wouldn’t want to stick them across 240V (Or your local equivalent).

Nah, this isn’t going to go beyond small electronics or battery tesing.

Cool! Make sure you pay attention to the range you’re in and don’t blow any fuses. A multimeter is your best friend when hunting down electrical problems.

I get one free with a coupon from Harbor Freight almost every time I go. Must have about 3 red ones and 4 yellow. They have other free items but these are my favorites. Give them to friends whenever they need one. I started doing this when I figured I had enough free LED flashlights.

Someone else mentioned that... so I looked it up. #1, they’re listed as $16 value. So cool. #2, the bad news... I’m in Canada, gonna burn a lot more gas than $5.36 in gas to go get one :(

DAMN ‘MURCAN

I’ve used the cheapies in the past, and I still keep a free red HF meter in each of my vehicles, but when I know I’m gonna be using a DMM, I have a Fruke 17B+ and a Brymen BM869S to use. The super-cheap meters have caused too many false readings for me to intentionally use them if I have an alternative.
