When you go to CVS with your wife so she can pick up a prescription, and this guy is walking to his car...
If you are lucky like me, your wife doesn’t mind while you stand there and talk Mustangs for 20 minutes, because she knew you 29 years ago when your grandma had a Mach 1, and your step dad tossed you the keys to the 65 Mustang he bought to teach you everything he knew about cars. He just didn’t tell you that you were working on your own car, and that he planned to give it to you the day you graduated from high school.
Thanks pops. You are a good guy. You taught me more than cars, and I’m very lucky you are still around when I have questions outside of my years and experience.

Its amazing how strangers can connect so well when they have a common interest, and cars are definitely one of those things. I once talked to some guy I never knew for almost an hour just because he would daily this 63 beetle and was fixing it up, absolutely one of the best hours I’ve spent this year.
