Yeah, but it’s so pretty I would excuse the spontaneous combustion.

Just goes to show how reliable cars of today are. You barely have to maintain them and they just keep going.

Back in the day people actually had to understand how their vehicle worked.

New radiator with larger capacity and a larger fan could both solve that issue! :)

Yep, already swapped to an aluminum radiator... a P.O. replaced the factory fan motor with a lower powered one that can’t quite keep up... replacing that is next up.

Running well, has a new timing belt, carb tune and just had a 93 tune done with ignition timing! Didn’t overheat but I didn’t want to push it... better to take 10 mins.

True, but how many of them will still be on the road in 40 yrs? I love the simplicity of old cars... they’re quasi-bulletproof if we’ll maintained. No plastic chain guides, CVTs, electronic differentials, etc to go wrong...

For electronics... yeah... ugh. Otherwise I do everything myself and it hasn’t really needed much mechanically. Re- did suspension so that should be good for another 40yrs, twin- cam motors usually good forever if timing belt replaced every 30k.

If you can get that fan replaced, you should hopefully be OK! :)

Definitely! She’s running great otherwise, little pull to the left at speed that I’ll take care of after I lower it back to stock ride height... otherwise a joy to drive.

I love me some FIATs, so always good to hear somebody keeping one on the road, despite the headaches sometimes! :P

I’d like to get mine show - ready. The respray I did with my cousin was 100% orange peel so I’m sanding it smooth to try again. This time I’ll put on 2 coats of clear so I can color sand it to perfection.

Interior wood and dash are OK but could use a refresh, center console is cracked, tiny hole in driver’s seats, but I think they’d let me onto the grass with just a good respray...

Well duh, what do you think happens when you remove the bumpers? Tsk

I live in the land of full- sized SUVs; those bumpers wouldn’t do squat in a crash :p. I leave lots of space and pray nobody swerves into me when I happen to be passing through their blind spot or am going through an intersection. Would be nice to get a set of the chromes, or abarth bumparettes...
