Seems like the only plausible explanation at this point.

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if a Nissan-powered LMP2 car won it all? Nissan would finally get their 24 Hours of Le Mans overall win...and doing so as an engine provider than actually fielding a car.

None of the P2s are Nissan powered anymore. They’re all Gibson engines, which are an evolution of the old Nissan architecture.

5 Manufacter LMNPs, only one is running unscathed. Rebellion may get a podium finish the year they back out of LMNP 1.

In that scenario, the funny thing is it being badged a Gibson engine. Their name wouldn’t actually be attached.

Dang! Well then, it would still be interesting to see a not-top tier car win Le Mans! I don’t think this has happened since the 911 GT1 in ‘98!

When it comes to an overall win at LeMans, maybe. They’ve already won the first two WEC rounds, so they have that.

Maybe God said, “Hey, you’re the most boring auto manufacturer on the planet. You can’t win this race.”

I’m sure they would trade every WEC win they have for one at Le Mans.

True, can’t blame them for that.

Not 1991 and earlier. Ask Zoidberg.
