Oppo, I bought another car (from another Oppo!). Three hour drive home yesterday without issue, got the out-of-state title paperwork this morning. Needs some odds and ends, but is very solid.

Nice! It’s pretty uncommon to see the sedans on the road, especially in decent shape - most were parted out 20-30 years ago.

Mainly the carb. Have some other odds and ends as well to address in addition to the typical new-to-me changing of all the fluids, filters, etc. Going to start ordering parts for all that today.
Oh, and paint correction. Lots of paint correction.

Oh, it won’t. I need to get the carb sorted out (working on that today) and really should do the exhaust soon since the cats are inevitably clogging since the air pump is no longer part of the car.

Glad to hear it! What are your plans for exhaust? At least you don’t have a thermal reactor like the early models had; I seem to recall that they were a bit of a pain to deal with (
at least that’s what I heard about the ‘80 project car at my high school
).

Oh man yeah the thermal reactors in the SA are a pain from what I hear. The whole “it’s not a cat but it’s like it” is just weird.
I’m going with a full racing beat exhaust, going to order it soon.
