I did some this past weekend. One of the least attended events my region has ever had with only 28 participants and yet I was only able to manage third in PAX . Granted my car is in a laughable class for what it really is and I would genuinely love for someone with a proper STX car to come to one of our events and just kill me. I also made the classic mistake of not changing the number back to 83 (my number) and ran my first set of runs as my dad. Fortunately in such a small region I know everybody and vice-versa so it wasn’t a big deal.

Good stuff! Interestingly, I rallycrossed last weekend, and they had a terrible turnout as well. Only 11 drivers in 10 cars. What the shit was going on last weekend?

For us, we have a few regions very close together and typically draw a good amount of drivers from them. However, last weekend two of those regions each had events the same day as ours and since we have more events, people choose to skip ours because we count up to 6 events for our championship but have 9 total events.
Its a bit of a double edged sword because it sucked that there wasn’t as many people to compete against, although my main “rival” who won PAX was there as usual, we did at least get a stupid amount of runs which is awesome.

That’s a logical explanation then. The rallycross organizers said the fact that our event was on Saturday killed our car count. Apparently a lot of the regulars work on Saturday. They moved all future Saturday events to Sundays. We got a stupid amount of runs too. I made 19 runs that day.
